Two jobs

Import from cards copies what is on your cards into your library, checks every copy, then offers to clear the card: Cards → Where → Check → Copy → Clear.

Sort a folder files a folder you already have - a dump you dragged off a card, or the loose files at the top of your library - by moving them on the same drive: Folder → Where → Check → Move.

Nothing is written until you press the button on the Check step, and Back works anywhere before that.

Where the files go

Into one folder of your choosing, sorted by day and then camera - 2026-08-27/Sony-A7C-II/ - unless you choose camera first. You pick or make each camera's folder once; the app never invents one.

Why a file stayed behind

• The camera could not be identified. Nothing inside the file says which camera made it - often an edited or re-saved copy. It is never guessed and never moved on its own.
• It is not a photo or video. A camera's own housekeeping files stay on the card.
• It is already in your library. The same file, checked byte for byte, is skipped rather than copied twice.

Files the app cannot name

At the Check step they are shown in groups - edited copies, files named like one app's, files marked as made by AI - with a few pictures of each. Leave them where they are, or choose a folder for a group. That choice is for this run only, and the log says the files were placed by you, not identified.

The log

Every run writes one to the logs folder inside your library: what was read, where each file went, how it was checked, and anything left behind.
